The real deal…I think not

Wanna be evereything but you…

Wanna criticise everyone…

Wanna judge everyone…

Think you know better….

Be condescending to mask your weaknesses…

Preach water…drink wine…

Flip the switch…

Manipulate…

Claim to be holy…

Claim to be pure…

You think you’re the real deal in His eyes…

You hide behind His word…

You’re so wrong…

And you’ll be so busted…

And you know what…

I KNOW YOU BETTER THAN YOU THINK…

The real deal?

I THINK NOT!

Hope…

One day you’ll move from seeing  what you want to see and hearing what you want to hear and realize that there is a whole lot more than you think you know…if you just pay attention!

Purpose

As human beings our lives are centered around our quest for our purpose, consciously or unconsciously, for those who are aware that they have a greater purpose, actively pursue it, for those who are not conscious of it, well, they focus on filling that void caused by lack of purpose (and originally by the fall of man)  with things of a material nature and end up destroying there very essence and sometimes even that of those they interact with.

Now, because a greater force has to work within us for this purpose to be realized, and over time this greater force has been dubbed ‘God’ and to an extent become a brand, a lot of the world, cause of socialization and other influences <read ‘competition’> feel that ‘God’ is not the brand for me, it’s like ‘God’ the brand has been positioned to be so up there that people can’t reach it and to other people it’s positioned as too down there for me to go for it, Brand God has to come for me.

So the world moves away from God and goes for the competition which is physically manifested in the self help forums, self help books, money, power, sex, etc. cause that then becomes the greater force, cause they are unable, not necessarily from there own will, to fathom a force greater than that which they actually see. (Explains why people are afraid of there bosses and what the world refers to as ‘highly influential people’ because they are physical manifestations of what a ‘superior’ or ‘greater’ being is).

The hardest bit about faith and human nature is human nature requires physical proof to believe in something, whereas God is not really present in a physical form but manifests Himself in various physical forms <read His Creation>, but cause that’s not how we are taught to believe, people start missing the bark from the trees.

On the flip side, people who are consciously aware of a greater power that exists and constantly and consciously seek this, i.e. God, open themselves up to receive Him, but human nature still plays here, and cause of that eagerness to receive God, human beings leave themselves open to other fake spirits, and wanna be guides in our individual pursuits to seek God, that throw off even the most pure of Christians off an a wild goose chase, pursuing what it is that they think is the direction they need to go in pursuit of the ultimate purpose,  this is still bearing in mind that His sheep know His voice.

Now, the eagerness we have in this pursuit can also be our downfall cause then we become susceptible to fakes in different forms and at different levels and as we walk closer it gets harder. But I don’t believe it is supposed to be that way , cause if God meant for us to receive Him like children, then being a God of order, things should just flow and we should be able to, cause of our instinctive nature, receive it without complication. The complication comes when we try and receive Him like adults.

I don’t really know how to explain this, but if you look at a child who ties a pillowcase round his neck and jumps off the top of the stairs, he does it because he believes he can fly. Then an adult comes and tells him not to be foolish, human beings can’t fly, and forces the child to think with all the barriers that are in an adults head, when in essence, all the child needed to know is, you can fly, just not with the pillowcase, and proceed to teach them about planes, or spaceships etc, that way you haven’t killed a dream but you have offered guidance.

As an adult we are aware of all the forces that are against us and focus more on them and fighting them, than on the active pursuit of our purpose, and this makes us angry, because you have to be angry to destroy something that is hampering your progress as you move towards your purpose. We should be happy as we pursue our purpose cause that’s what we were ultimately created and fashioned to do <sounds utopian, maybe it is>, the only way we will derive happiness is when that we were created to do comes to pass, cause you‘ve done God’s work how can we not be happy about that. One of the wonderful things we were given is free will, choice, we can choose how to pursue our purpose, focus on destroying everything in the way or focus on achieving the purpose and in that pursuit we are empowered to fight off the enemy without losing sight of the ultimate purpose. There’s a place in scripture that talks about what to focus on…will remember it.

I believe the loss of innocence is the reason for all our problems. Cause once the purity of our perception is burnt we then assume that that’s how it’s always going to be and we are then stifled. When kids play, and fall down, they don’t stop playing, when kids move from play school to kindergarten, they don’t stop making friends cause there old friends left, that’s why a child can have new best friend everyday. It’s no accident that we are called children of God, think about it, when were you able to take in and digest information at its best, learn a new language, how to read, basic math, AS A CHILD. The reason why if you destroy a child you destroy a generation, or a society, a country (think Sierra Leone, Rwanda). And as an adult in pursuit of purpose (more so with a scarred past), I believe we need to find the child in us so as to be able to start the journey afresh.

In our quest for God, we are surrounded by people/preachers/teachers/mentors/parents/peers/siblings who teach like adults, not Children (of God), cause children (of God) already possess all the wisdom they need to successfully go on this pursuit, that’s why we are called to believe like a child, when we believe like an adult people get lost and don’t really get to pursue there purpose fully cause it’s riddled with so many proverbial barriers. So, technically, what we all need is a Child of God to guide us and this does not have to be manifested as a human adult….don’t know if that makes sense, cause a Child (of God) will communicate rationality, inspired by God so that the quest for individual purpose is not interfered with by the barriers around. And this is not to say we go around our way merrily giggling like there is no danger that exists out there, it does, but like I said earlier, we choose what we will focus on and trust that the Good God who is guiding us on our purpose is also equipping as with what we need to wad off evil and not lose focus. I’m thinking where does my help come from….?

So, those are my random thoughts….for now.

Ideal Woman?

Old school values: Family and virtue…monogamous

Intelligence and independence, yet humble and not dominating

Feminine and appreciates her femininity…all woman, however without the annoying habits of your basic woman, whiny and overly demanding.

Non judgemental, pointing out your insecurities and beating you up about them.

One who understands your silence and your space and appreciates it as a part of who you are.

Be of calm spirit yet free spirited enough to take you to places you would otherwise not go on your own, probably show you a side of yourself that you have never seen or wonder where it is

Clean, organised, focussed, and ambitious.

A subtle mix of your old school stay at home woman who can take care of her man and her family and at the same time free spirited and independent enough to know who she is and balance between that person and the woman in your life.

Kindred spirit…Soulmate?

The one you feel connected to.
The one whom in silence still speaks to you and you to her
The one chosen for you by ‘another’ that is not mortal
The one who seems to be the only individual in the world who ‘gets’ you
The one who doesn’t find you weird, or strange or aloof…and even if they do, they think that that’s pretty awesome.
The one with whom your relationship surpasses a carnal need…the beauty of the sexual union is made orgasmic by the depth of feeling shared between your two spirits…

The one your mama likes, the one your mama wonders about…you know… “how is that nice young…”
And you just can’t get why she does…but the reason is cause, your mama probably knows she’ll make you happy.

Strangely enough, your mama will never tell you to be with her…but deep down she hopes that your spirits will find each other…cause she knows and understands that kindred spirits need not be given direction by mortal man.

The one who you’ll never really tell how you really feel, because if that ‘one’ rejects you, your fear is you will never be able to get over that… so you wait and hope, she lets you know you are the one…knowing not that she carries the same fear…

And for this reason, she is likely to be the woman you will never marry, but wish you did, as does she…but that will always remain your secret…or so you think…the woman you do end up sharing the rest of your life with, will see it in your eyes…and if she loves you, though not your kindred spirit, will carry the burden, of knowing she never was your kindred spirit and will never receive your love in its purest form…but will love you all the same.

Few mortal men are blessed enough to spend the rest of there lives with there kindred spirit, for mortal man gets too caught up in the mortal world to take the time to be guided by man’s immortal maker, to mortal man’s <with immortal spirit> kindred spirit…or soul mate.

For those who do…the journey through this life takes a more scenic, and peaceful route, even through the darkest parts of the path…

Our hope…our heart’s desire…is to find our one kindred spirit.
